Radio Communication

Effective communication is critical to mission success. All members must follow proper radio protocols to ensure clarity and avoid unnecessary chatter.

  • Keep transmissions short, clear, and mission-relevant. Use plain language when possible but apply brevity codes when instructed.

  • Identify yourself before transmitting. Example: “Alpha 1-1, this is Alpha 1-2…”

  • Use the correct channels. Primary for squad comms, secondary for command or support elements.

  • Avoid cross-talk during critical moments. Priority always goes to contact reports and command orders.

Radio procedures are practiced and refined during training. Learn them well—good comms save lives.
